Using FTP

I am tired of writing the same thing in response, and I decided to write a short article here on how to use FTP – useful functionality to transfer files to your server. FTP (FTP – File Transfer Protocol) – ie protocol transfer of files – a technology that allows simple and easy to upload and download files from your computer to your website (server) and back. In order to use them, you must use a special program – FTP clients. Such programs (free and paid) in the network a huge set. I for example use the file manager Total Commander (it has a built-in FTP-client).
So let's take the example I will show you what FTP, and what it eats! Download and install the Total Commander. Under the menu 'Connect to FTP-FTP-server …' (or the buttons on the toolbar button locate FTP) in the window click 'Add' button to create a new FTP connection. See how to fill the following: Connection name Select any – this is for internal use, so you can distinguish their several different compounds. Server – usually just the address of your site, or the corresponding IP-address. The account and password – this user name and password for your FTP connection.
